Members of the Weyburn Police Service, while on routine patrol late Saturday night, made a bust of an impaired driver.

"Just shortly after 11:00 o'clock," shared Police Chief Jamie Blunden. "Our members ultimately did a traffic stop in the corner of Queen Street and First Avenue northwest, and there were no tail lights, so our members under the vehicle Equipment Regulations Act, we stopped the vehicle, conducted an equipment check with the vehicle."

"It was determined that the individual driving appeared to be consuming or has consumed some cannabis, and subsequently a test was done to that individual."

He added the person's license was suspended for three days and his vehicle was impounded.
