The staff and campers at Nickle Lake Regional Park are getting set for the big 60th-anniversary celebration event taking place this Saturday, September 2nd.

It all begins with the Nickle Lake Market at 10:00 a.m., which runs until 3:00 p.m. Anyone who wants to get a table at the market free of charge can contact Michelle Warken via Facebook Messenger. Read more HERE about the success of the last market held on August 5th for Nickle Lake Day. 

The Beer Gardens will open up at 12:00 p.m. and run until 11:00 p.m., with live entertainment beginning at 2:00 p.m. 

While the dinner had required pre-registration, Park Manager Darren Wheeler said they still have some tickets left.

"We have a KFC supper with dessert and pop and water running from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. If you haven't got a ticket, you still can get a ticket today. Stop by the office, they're $10 a piece. We invite you to come out and enjoy the great day."

Moody Hollow will take the stage at 7:00 p.m., sponsored by Weyburn Dodge. Fast Track Car and Truck Wash is the ice sponsor for this end-of-the-season party.

"I just want to give a big shout out to all our campers, all our seasonal campers for having a great year," Wheeler added. "All the volunteers that have done everything that went to park this year, the park wouldn't be what it is without everybody stepping up and all our campers and our seasonals. I'd like to give a big shout out to all my teammates here at the park for cleaning and keeping the grass groomed and everything, just making it look great. Great job, everybody, and thank you."
