Rylan Chessall and Taylor Cameron with the Summer Fun Crew will be out at a few events this upcoming weekend to report on a few Canada 150 events.

This Saturday we will be starting our day out at 10:00am to catch the walk-a-thon, then at 11:00 am the ethnic entertainment and multi-cultural demonstartions will start taking place. You can come down and get some of the traditional foods or take a look at what some of the vendors are selling or making for this event. There will also be face painting, story telling, and a dream catcher activity taking place at the Family Fun Tent that will be set up at the event.

The following day we will be driving out to Fillmore to check out the Canada 150 event that will be going on the whole weekend, which will be celebrated side by side with the Lions Club International 100th anniversary. There will be a pancake breakfast starting at 8:30 in the morning, followed by a church service later on. Starting at 1:00 in the afternoon, a Sunday Funday golf tournament will be taking place. To close off the event there will be a Fillmore Foxes vs Pangman Peaches fastball game beginning at 4:00pm. You can catch all of this in Fillmore, with camping spots available at a first come, first serve basis.

We are really excited to go out to the events this weekend, and we will be keeping you updated on what is happening throughout the day. Keep an eye out for posts, pictures, and videos! And once again, a big thanks to our sponsors at McDonald's, Young's Equipment, The Weyburn Credit Union and Lost Child Towing for supporting the Summer Fun Crew.
