The Queen City Marathon took place over the weekend in Regina and there were quite a few Weyburnites that took part in the annual event.

The Night Owl Five Kilometre Run had a total of 14 people from Weyburn in attendance Luke Dillen coming in 21st in his category and Alex Roettger taking the 42nd spot for hers.

There were also eight individuals from Weyburn that took on the 10 kilometre run with Camden Husband placing fourth in his category, Susan Husband taking the second spot in hers, and Verna O'Neill finishing in fifth place for her category.

As well, seven locals braved the 21.1 kilometre run and in the end, Glenn Rogers snagged the first place for his category, Lyndon Lumb finished in sixth place, and James Richards finished in 10th place overall for his category in the race.

Glenn Rogers pushed himself all the way to the finish line and took home first place in his category.

There were also a number of local runners that decided to do the marathon virtually from home with Lori Hiltz finishing the 21.1 kilometre run in two hours and 43 minutes.

Despite dealing with a number of injuries Lori Hiltz never gave up and ended up completing the 21.1 kilometre race virtually from Weyburn.
