Graham DeLaet has earned his first top ten of the 2017 season, as he finished 8th at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Mississippi on the weekend. The Weyburn native entered play in a tie for fifth spot.

He opened his round with three birdies on the front nine, and was tied for first at one point. A rough go on the eleventh hole, though, would be his undoing. He hit the water to the right of the green on the par-5, and his subsequent shot ended up in the rough beside the green. He chipped on with his fifth, but needed two putts, giving him a double bogey.

The hole was followed up by a bogey on 12, which moved him back to even par for the round. He added a birdie on thirteen, and a bogey on 18 to finish the day with 72 shots, par for the course.

DeLaet will be back in action this coming weekend. He travels to Las Vegas for the Shriners Hospital for Children Open, which will be played on TPC Summerlin.
