The girls soccer team from Weyburn Comprehensive School is returning home from the 2A provincials with a medal for the second year in a row. They captured the medal this weekend at the tournament which was played in Saskatoon.

The teams would play even through 90 minutes, with the game going to overtime. There, Kylie Van De Woestyne would prove to be the hero, as she scored the game winner, giving the Eagles a 1-0 win.

For the WCS boys soccer team, they had a rough go at the 3A provincials, played in Regina. They opened the tournament against Campbell Collegiate of Regina, and fell 8-2. This moved them to the consolation bracket, where they fell 9-2 to St. Mary out of Prince Albert. The boys team had qualified for the provincials after finishing second in the regionals in Yorkton the previous weekend.
