While the arenas in the SJHL were quiet over the holiday weekend, the phone lines weren’t, with some moves being made by teams across the league.

The Humboldt Broncos moved ‘00-born forward Mitchell Babik to the Calgary Mustangs of the AJHL. Coming back to Humboldt is ‘00-born forward Jordan Marks. Marks appeared in five games for the Mustangs this season, without registering a point.

The La Ronge Ice Wolves were also busy over the weekend.

First, they picked up forward MacRae Setoguchi from the Calgary Mustangs for a player development fee. The ‘00-born forward appeared in just two games so far this season. He was also a member of the Lethbridge Midget AAA Hurricanes who played in the Telus Cup this past spring.

The Ice Wolves also moving ‘99-born forward Nolan Dawson. He was traded to the OCN Blizzard of the MJHL. Coming back to La Ronge is ‘00-born forward Jacy Kennedy and a player development fee. Kennedy has seen limited action with the Blizzard this season, playing in just three games, and registering a point. Last season he notched 34 points in 40 games with the Winnipeg Midget AAA Thrashers.
