The 2020/21 wrestling season has recently come to a close, according to Mike Johnston, one of the club's coaches.

"We have just completed an eight-week skills and drills session where we were able to run two practices with eight athletes per practice, and that went really well," explained Mike, "and now we've just wrapped that up and we're closed for the season and hopefully we'll be able to get back to some sense of normal next fall."

The Weyburn Wrestling Club is now looking to raise some funds by launching a meat raffle, sponsored by Western Prime Meats in Weyburn.

"First prize is a $500 beef package, second prize is a $300 beef package, and third prize is a $200 beef package", described Johnston, "our tickets are one for $5, three for $10, or ten for $20, and the proceeds will go to helping the Weyburn Wrestling Club pay for the expenses to operate the club."

Tickets can be purchased online at the club's website, WeyburnWrestlingClub.com

The draw is scheduled to take place on April 20.
