Emergency services in the city of Weyburn are coming together in an epic celebration by hosting a Black Tie Gala event September 30th at McKenna Hall.

"This is a celebration of the community services team," said volunteer firefighter Lisa Robertson. "Including Fire, Police and EMS."

She noted that part of the celebration was due to the Police Services 60th anniversary and Canada's 150th birthday.

The event will go Saturday September 30th with cocktails starting at 6:00 p.m. and supper at 7:00 followed by a dance and live music from the New Montagues.

The event is a formal gala so Black Tie, Dress uniform or Mess Kit are required. Who doesn't love dressing up for a night out?

Tickets are $75 each and available until Friday September 22nd at the Police Station. The funds will go towards the cost of the event with excess funds being donated equally to the Youth Centre and Southeast Victims Services.
