"Shuttle Your Buttle" at the WDHF Sock Hop

The Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation will be bringing out the poodle skirts and fedora's for their annual Gala. 

"Oh my gosh, it's going to be so much fun," said Board Member CJ Mainil. "This is going to be our 5th Hospital Foundation Gala and it's to keep awareness going for our new hostpital."

Funds raised at the Gala go directly to the Hospital Foundation, who have been raising funds for a new hospital in Weyburn.

"This year we decided to do a 1950's Sock Hop and we have the band The Bromantics from Moose Jaw and they are just going to be so much fun, they have a lot of brass tones and doo-wap harmonies and they're just going to make you get up there and shuttle your buttle."

The big event will go on March 10th at McKenna Hall. Doors open for cocktails at 5:30 with a buffet style supper at 7:00 and Dance at 8. Tickets are $60 per person or a table of 8 for $400 and are available at Pharmasave, York Jewellers or at the Foundation Office.

Mainil added that this year will also feature the 3rd Annual Vacation Getaway raffle, which will see someone win a $4000 Travel Voucher from CAA Weyburn. Tickets for that are $25 each or 5 for $100 and the winner will be drawn at the Sock Hop.
