The Weyburn Public Library is celebrating Saskatchewan Library Week along with the province throughout this week.

"It's a province-wide annual event, which promotes the wonderful resources and services that libraries have to offer," explained Programmer Cora-Lynn Sexton.

Since this year has been different for everyone and everything, the theme this year is "Libraries in Changing Times".

"We have lots of things going on this week, in person and virtual," she noted.

One of the ways to participate in practicing resourcefulness this week is to find the WPL's 'scavenger hunt' list on their website (or in person a the branch) and then search for the items at home or around the community.

"We'll also be holding a contest during Saskatchewan Library Week," Sexton said. "You can enter all week for a chance to win our prize package valued at up to $100."

Ways to enter include checking out an item, signing up for a new library card, liking or sharing their Facebook page, or by attending an event either in person or virtual.

Later on Friday, Sexton added, an interview will be posted to the WPL YouTube channel with local author Jan Keating.
