There are big changes coming to medical facilities in Weyburn in the coming months, as two clinics will be operating out of the same building.

The Weyburn Primary Health Care Clinic, which is based in the MNP Building in Weyburn along 3rd Street, will be moving into the Weyburn Health Centre on 4th Street. It will then be officially known as the Weyburn Primary Health Care Clinic at the Weyburn Health Centre, according to Trevor Tessier, who is the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s Director of Primary Health Care in Southeast 8.

“That’s where all of our primary care providers, whether that be nurse practitioners or doctors, will be located out of,” Tessier explained. “We’re also going to be looking at bringing in allied health services, such as mental health.”

The move will be taking place over the coming weeks, with the goal of having the transition completed by October 4th. Tessier stated the public and patients will be made aware of all the changes during the move, with little impact to patients being expected.
