A day of ups and downs for the Southeast Midget AAA Twins Sunday afternoon. They entertained the Regina Wolfpack in Estevan for a doubleheader, with each team taking one game.

In the early game, the Wolfpack came out firing and received a lot of support on defense. By the end of the second inning, they had built up an 8-0 lead, thanks to the bat of Nathan Halvorsen, who picked up three RBI. On the mound, Brian SO had a career game. He threw a no-hitter, stymying the lineup of the Twins. With three more runs added before the end of the 5th, the Wolfpack forced the game to be called under the mercy rule, with an 11-0 final.

The Twins were looking to reverse their fortunes in the second game, and it would be their bats on display.

The Twins found themselves down 2-1 in the third inning, when they began to find ways to score, notching three in the third. In the fourth inning, it would be seven runs in total crossing the plate. By the end of the day, Walker Happ, Rhett Nikolejsin, and Dahlyn Klassen all had two RBI.

On the mound, Luke Niemegeers pitched five innings, before making way for Evan McClarty, who tossed the final inning. Thanks to the 10 run lead, the game was called after the sixth.

The Midget AAA Twins now get set for four games in Saskatoon on Canada Day weekend, beginning with a doubleheader against the Dbacks on Saturday.
