The Flin Flon Bombers continued their southern road trip Thursday night with a stop in Wilcox to take on the Notre Dame Hounds. For the Hounds, they were looking to put together the beginnings of a winning streak; the Bombers, a chance to bounce back after a shootout loss to the Humboldt Broncos Wednesday.

It would be the Bombers who came out firing, though. Brandson Hein picked up a goal and two assists in the 4-1 victory and sits atop the leaderboard in points for the season with 22. Behind him is teammate Caleb Moretz, who had two points in the win.

The Bombers will now enjoy a day off, before taking on the Red Wings in Weyburn Saturday night. For the Hounds, they travel to Humboldt Friday to play the Broncos.

The Melville Millionaires have a new face behind the bench. It was announced Thursday Chris Beaudry stepped away from the role as assistant coach for personal reasons but will stay on with the club in an advisory role.

Coming on board with the team is Kyle Adams. Adams has had a career in the junior A ranks which has seen him coach in Drayton Valley, Alberta, Chilliwack, BC and Woodstock, New Brunswick.

The Millionaires also adding to their roster in recent days. This week, they have added blueliner Sam Mudd, acquired from the Springfield Jr. Blues of the NAHL. Mudd, a ‘99-bord defenseman, played two games with Springfield and had no points in those games.

Melville also adding ‘99-born forward Max McPeak. The Edmonton native was most recently with the Drayton Valley Thunder of the AJHL, where he had appeared in just one game this season.
