The Weyburn Comprehensive Eagles Football team was in Swift Current this weekend taking on The Colts.

The Eagles went into the game with high spirits following a win over Estevan last week.

It didn't take long for the Eagles to open the scoring, with the first touchdown coming just four plays in. They followed it up on their next drive with a 30-yard touchdown from Conner Kerr to Jarret Hayward.

Swift Current followed this up with a safety and were quick to recover after an Eagles fumble, scoring the first touchdown against the Eagles defense this year.

That didn't slow down the Eagles though as they continued to score throughout the first half, going into halftime up 57-7.

In the second half, the Eagles got the opportunity to play some of their younger players while holding Swift Current off the scoreboard. Tace Odima would have the only scoring play in the second half, kicking in a field goal.

With that, the Eagles came away with the 60-7 win.

The Eagles will next be in action in their home opener this Friday when Moose Jaw Central Cyclones come to town. The game will be their Friday Night Lights game. We will have more on that throughout the week.
