UPDATE: Weyburn RCMP are asking for anyone to check out buildings in the Tribune area to check for missing 39-year-old Abraham Neufeld who went missing Monday during the storm.

According to a release sent this afternoon, on January 31, around 9:00 p.m. Weyburn RCMP received a complaint of a missing male. 39-year-old Abraham Neufeld from the Tribune, Sk area was driving a tractor near Tribune when it's reported the tractor got stuck and he became disoriented while walking to his nearby residence.

Abraham’s tractor was located empty this morning and still running approximately ¾ of a mile east of Tribune.

Abraham Neufeld has not been located. Weyburn RCMP, RCMP Police Dog Services, Ministry of Environment Conservation Officers, and RCMP Search and Rescue continue to search for him.

Ongoing search efforts, including marking and keeping track of areas already searched, are ongoing at this time by the organizations noted above.

The RCMP recognize people want to help, and at this time, due to this coordinated effort, and the fact there is still only 30 feet or less of visibility at the search area, police stress they are not seeking the general public’s assistance with the immediate searches in the area noted above at this time.

They will be providing updates as they become available.

They ask If you have seen Abraham to contact Weyburn RCMP at 306-848-4640.

The Weyburn RCMP does not have a photograph of Abraham available at this time.
