The Weyburn Police Service has been receiving a large number of false alarms. Weyburn Police Chief Howard Georgeson says, "I speak at my Police Commission meeting and report to them the amount of alarms we do have and you know we're averaging anywhere from 30 to 40 false alarms a month."

Georgeson says they're monitoring the situation to see if the problem will persist. He says, "at which time I'll supply a report to the Police Commission and it'll be up to them with my consultation to see if we want to put in a false alarm by-law."

Georgeson says at the end of June he will supply a report to the Police Commission and then the decision will be made.
