The Weyburn Roller Derby Association held a bout on Saturday at the Weyburn Curling Club in memory of long-time supporter and fan Neal Keefe, who passed away in July.

Local roller derby team, the Strait Jackettes, were victorious against the Prince Albert Outlaws. The Strait Jackettes winning 231-126.

"Neal was a volunteer we could always count on to help us set up for every event we’ve hosted. He was a positive supporter of our team, and wanted to see our organization succeed in Weyburn," shared Krista Sandney, league president.

The event raised $275 for the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation through 50/50 sales in honour of Keefe.
