The 42nd annual Weyburn Communithon is coming up on October 27th, and the Communithon Committee is looking for performers to sing, play, dance, or even tell some jokes.

“It can be any performance that gets the audience engaged," shared Communithon Committee Chair Lynda Rideout. "We'd love to have you as part of our day."

The deadline for the applications is October 2nd, which means it's time to get those entries in to ensure your spot in the lineup of performers.

Those interested in signing up to be performers for this year’s big event can go to the Communithon website and fill out the application form HERE. Then, email it back to communithonentertainment@gmail.com. This is also the email to use if you have any questions about the performance requirements. The form does ask for some details about special equipment and other pertinent information.

A new feature this year will allow some of the performers who choose to accept the challenge to join in on the 'Battle of the Acts'. Read more HERE.

The Communithon is a televised fundraiser, airing on Access7 and streaming on YouTube from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on October 27th, with dozens of volunteers working toward a goal of $80,023.

Funds raised will be allocated to their 10 community agencies:  Big Brothers Big Sisters Weyburn, the Weyburn branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, the Weyburn Care-A-Van Society, the Community Low Income Centre, Envision Counselling & Support Centre, Inclusion Weyburn, Southeast Newcomer Services Weyburn, Spinal Cord Injury, and the Weyburn Youth Centre.

Remember, each year performers come out and help to raise much-needed funds for these community agencies so they can continue to provide their valuable programs and services for the citizens of our city and surrounding area.

The performers keep people tuned in, and often inspire more generous donations.

So... what are you waiting for? Sign up now to shine.
