The Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association handed out their awards at their annual meetings on the weekend, and some of the hardware is coming back to Weyburn.

Sawyer Leko was named the Most Dedicated Player of the Year. Leko played with the South Sask Pee Wee A Elite, which won the league and provincial championship this past year. He was also part of Team Saskatchewan, which played at the national championships in B.C. over the summer. Leko was also the nominee from Weyburn for the Male Athlete of the Year.

The Pee Wee A Elite team was also named the Team of the Year. Coached by Weyburn’s Matt Dalton and Chuck Hignett.
