The sale of the Weyburn Inland Terminal was finalized by the Court of Queen's Bench in Regina Wednesday. The arrangement for sale was reviewed by a judge and given the court's stamp of approval.

Now that the sale of WIT to Manitoba-based Parrish & Heimbecker has been finalized WIT's chairman of the board Claude Carles shares how the transfer of the company to P & H will proceed in the next few weeks, "the process is unfolding here as we go along. Parrish has some of their people here now looking, introducing themselves to staff, and making arrangements and that with myself and the board here to make the transition go smoothly."

WIT will sign over papers to P & H in the next week to 10 days and the conversion of the company will take place by mid-next week.

Carles says for now the name will remain the Weyburn Inland Terminal but in a few weeks time he believes they will start referring to the company as Parrish & Heimbecker. And so begins the next chapter in the life of the Weyburn Inland Terminal.
