It was a horrible day for the Toronto Blue Jays yesterday as they got hammered 13-0 by the Boston Red Sox to close out their season opening six game home stand.

The Jays found themselves down 5-0 before an out was even recorded in the game.

R.A Dickey struggled once again, giving up eight runs on ten hits in 4 2/3 innings, that was followed by Dave Bush coming in and giving up four home runs over the next 2 2/3 innings.

Meanwhile Jon Lester and Clayton Mortenson held the Jays to just seven singles in the ball game.

Today the Blue Jays will be off to re-group before they embark on their first road trip of the season tomorrow when they head to Detroit to open a three game set against the Tigers.
