Weyburn Minor Baseball held their annual awards night Wednesday. The night recognized players across all age groups.

The most improved player on the Squirt Girls Red sox was Lakismi Palomares, and the most valuable player was Jorja Smolinski and Ainsley Wanner. The most improved player on the Squirt Girls Blue Sox was Ashley Kot, and the MVP Denae King.

In the Mosquito Boys house teams, the MVP for the Beavers was Ryan Hicks, and the most improved player Logan Smith. Hudson Bourassa was the most improved player on the Jay, and Bransen Sim the most valuable player. The A’s most improved player was Lucas Payne, while Chace Kradovil was the MVP. For the Red, Blaze Gutzke was named the MVP, and Dominick Weiss the most improved. Ethan Scripps was the most improved player on the Sox, and Brandon Morrice the most valuable player.

The Mosquito AA Beavers saw Vlad Szczecinski named the most improved player, Wyatt Lacoste the most sportsmanlike, and Sutter Balog the MVP.

For the two Pee Wee Girls house teams, team 1 had Dylan Huestis named most improved and Emma Stadnick named most valuable. On team 2, Jordyn Jarvis is most improved, and McKenna Ling most valuable. On the Pee Wee Girls Provincial team, Hallie Bourassa was named most improved, Emma Stadnick the most valuable and Sierra Lenek the most sportsmanlike.

For the Pee Wee Boys house teams, Reese Peterson was named most improved on the Royals, and Colby Sorenson the most valuable. The MVP for the Sluggers was Ben Manning, and Mason Buchanan the most improved. The Beavers named Dylan Ernst the most valuable, and Shae Lincoln the most improved.

The Pee Wee Youngfellow Beavers had Dallen Oxelgren as the most sportsmanlike, Rylan Erb the most valuable, and Josh Kalman the most improved.

On the Under 16 Girls House team, Denae Neufeld was the most improved player, and Krista Smith the most valuable. Kylee Dixon was the most improved player on the Under 16 Girls Provincial team, with Katie Rowley named most sportsmanlike, and Paige Fellner the MVP.

The Bantam Boys house team recognized Declan Wagner as the most improved, and Matthew Dutchak as the most valuable. For the Bantam AA Beavers, Braden Birnie was the most improved, Ty Nikolejsin the most sportsmanlike, and Nolan Ling the most valuable.

The Under 19 Girls house team saw Ashley Culham named the most improved player, and Janissa Cooley the most valuable.

For the Midget AA Beavers, Tyler Fox was recognized as the most improved, Josh Borys the most valuable and Nick Thompson as the most sportsmanlike.

The Eugene Emberly award was presented to Josh Juravle, and the Mel Bisset award to Tianna Tripp. The Emberly and Bisset award are presented to the graduating players who combined sportsmanship, ability, courteous conduct and academic standing during their time with Weyburn Minor Baseball.

The umpire awards were presented to Jason Kalman in the junior category, and Rob Kalman in the senior category. Dean and Kari Nikolejsin were honoured with the Builder's Block Award.
