The Bantam AA Whitecap Wings were in Regina for the Graham Tuer Challenge this past weekend, one of the premier Bantam tournaments in Western Canada. The 32 team event ran from Thursday until Sunday.

The Bantam AA Wings started off the event dropping their three round robin games. They lost 8-1 to the St. Albert Sabres, 4-3 to the Saskatoon Generals and 10-3 to the Winnipeg Sharks. This put the Wings in the D-Side playdowns for the tournament.

In their first game, they edged past the West Central Wheat Kings 5-4. They followed it up with a 6-2 win over the Regina Aces, putting the Wings into the D-Side finals against the Prince Albert Pirates.

In the finals, the Wings had a pair of goals in regulation from Noah Englot, with a third coming from Kaden McLean with just 3:28 left to force overtime.

In the extra period, Blaze Gutzke came up big, scoring the game winning goal.
