The Candidates for Leadership of the Saskatchewan Party have one more week to sell memberships for the party.

As the candidates spoke, Weyburn residents had the opportunity to think about who they wanted to vote for. For some, the answers given confirmed for them who they had already chosen, or at least move them closer to a final decision.

"It was a good slate of candidates. I was quite impressed with the overall tone and the overall camaraderie of the group and enjoyed hearing some of the diverse ideas and opinions about how to lead the Sask Party forward," said Marcel van Staveren, Farmer from Stoughton area.

Van Staveren said he was able to observe a level of preparation and background that he needed to feel comfortable with who to choose. He is not a hundred percent decided but close.

It was a good debate it was a good process to have all candidates here to come to Weyburn," said Ross Bobier, Weyburn area resident and volunteer at the debate.

"There was a good crowd and I think people heard a good platform tonight."

Bobier said the answers given by the candidates during the evening helped confirm for him who to vote for and was pleased with the ideas presented by the candidates to move Saskatchewan forward.

We will have more reactions to the debates from Weyburn residents as they come in.
