Southeast Saskatchewan is starting to see the signs of spring with the return of robins and geese, but unfortunately, we have yet to see much in the way of warmer weather.

It's been a chilly long Easter weekend across the prairies, with Weyburnites waking up to a temperature of -16 degrees Celsius and a windchill of -25 early Easter morning. It was even colder Saturday, according to Environment Canada. Weyburn broke a cold record set nearly 20 years ago. Saturday's temperature dropped down to -19.6. The previous record for coldest March 31 was set in 1996 with -18.2 degrees.

Monday is not expected to be much warmer, with a forecasted high of -10 and a windchill of -30. See the full forecast HERE.

Robins and many other songbirds have returned to the province for spring.
