Friday afternoon a two vehicle accident occurred on Government Road in Weyburn.

"Charges are pending on the one individual, the accident occurred August 25 at around 2:10 in the afternoon and one vehicle needed to be towed," says Sargent Hughie Gilchrist with the Weyburn Police Service.
Although the investigation is ongoing there are already charges pending.
"The vehicle, in this case it was a pick up truck, had stopped to allow a pedestrian to cross the road and the vehicle coming up from behind did not notice the other vehicle as far as being stopped and in this case rear ended the one vehicle," says Sargent Gilchrist.
There were minor injuries involved, with one of the drivers being taken to the hospital. The driver was released a short time after with minimal injuries.
Sargent Gilchrist also reminds everyone to be aware of their surroundings, whether drivers or pedestrians.
