The Weyburn Police Service responded to 73 calls for service last week, resulting in 17 charges. 

A youth was taken into custody and is facing charges of attempted murder following the report of an assault.

One youth was charged with mischief after police received a call advising that someone was attempting to steal a traffic sign near the skate park. The sign was recovered but damaged. 

A resident woke up on Sunday morning to discover his truck was stolen from his driveway overnight. The truck is described as a white 2007 Cadillac Escalade with the Saskatchewan license plate number 678MPS.  Anyone who sees this vehicle is asked to call the Weyburn Police Service at 306-848-3250, or any other police agency in their jurisdiction. 

Officers responded to a variety of other calls throughout the week, including alarms, domestic disturbances, suspicious persons or vehicles, mental health concerns, requests to check on an individual’s well-being, harassment, and calls relating to animals or bylaw concerns.
