Many organizations in South/East Saskatchewan have gone without fundraisers in lieu of Covid-19, the Weyburn Wildlife Federation being one of the many clubs in the area that has had to go without their annual banquet.

"The Weyburn Wildlife Federation, just like many organizations in our community, was not able to hold their annual banquet in 2020 and again this year," explained Terra Hartly-Ortman, PR, Communications, and Treasurer of the organization, "So we thought since this is usually when we host our banquet, and this is the major fundraiser for the year, we would go ahead with our scratch card raffle over the next three months."

The scratch card raffle has been a highlight of the Weyburn Wildlife Federation's annual banquet for years, and the organization is excited to be able to do at least a portion of their usual fundraising to try and continue the legacy of their banquet - even though they can't hold one this year.

Starting Monday (March 29) they have two packages becoming available to win. The same goes for the following Monday (April 5), as well as more to come over the next couple of months.

"Just in time for BBQ season, we have a John Deere Weber BBQ donated by myself and husband Shaun Ortman. And to go with it, Mike Guest from Western Prime Meats donated a $200 gift card to go with it. So this package is valued at $550. The tickets are $25 each and we have a one hundred line scratch card for that," described Terra, "Then the second is a metal art package donated by the Weyburn Wildlife Federation. The value for this is $150. The tickets for this one with be $10 each and fifty lines."

The next two packages in the following weeks will be an Otterbox Cooler Package valued at $400, and a Saw Metal Art Package valued at $150.
