Who needed the Backyard Makeover the most?

This summer we brought back the DiscoverWeyburn Backyard Makeover, bigger and better than ever!

This year we had TWO massive prize packages up for grabs, including a lawn and garden care package comprising of a brand new curved string trimmer, leaf blower and chain saw from Fisk Repair and Rentals and a makeover package that included $1,250 certificate to an exterior finish consult and a $700 certificate towards a deck plan from Bespoke Interior Designs, $100 certificate to Maurer's Meats and finally a $50 certificate to Bandit's Distilling.

So what did you need to do in order to win those INCREDIBLE prizes? 

Submit a picture of your backyard! 

Then, on Tuesday, we put those pictures online and opened it up for your votes!!!

So who came out on top? 

Well, Ryan McLaren submitted this picture and wound up with roughly 18% of the votes, our second highest total! 

With that, Ryan walks away with the package from Fisk Repair and Rentals! He said he is planning on using the leaf blower first as his yard is FULL of spruce needles, which has been killing his lawn!! Congrats Ryan and thanks to Keith from Fisk for stopping by to help us give this prize away!

So that leaves top place. Who's yard came out on top? 

Well, with 29% of the votes, this yard was deemed the most in need of a backyard makeover:

That yard belongs to Tara-Lynn Oesch, who was at a complete loss for words when we called this morning! 

Tara-Lynn's fiancee was the one who decided they should enter in and it's a good thing too!
