Downtown Weyburn was the place to be Sunday morning as close to 100 runners from across Saskatchewan took part in the Weyburn Opportunity Road Race.

There were four different races taking place at the same event that morning. The day started off with the Kid's Mini-Mile and was followed by the 5k, 10k and 15k races.

There was one relay team that took part in the day as well, the Turtle team finished the 15k race with a time of 1:36:38.

The best part of all was that all of the racers helped raise funds to maintain and improve Weyburn's Tatagwa Parkway trails that desperately need to be fixed up.

For those still looking to donate to the Tatagwa Parkway, a tax deductible donation can be made at City Hall. Cheques can be made out to the City of Weyburn, with a memo that it is for the Tatagwa Parkway. These donations can be made all year.
