A search warrant was served by the RCMP at a residence in Arcola Friday night. As a result of the warrant being served, two men were arrested.

The warrant was served by the Carlyle RCMP, with help from the Carlyle RCMP Traffic Services, as well as traffic services from Estevan and Weyburn.

Staff Sergeant Darrell Simons with the Carlyle RCMP said the officers found a number of stolen items at the scene, as well as what they suspect to be drugs. The suspected drugs were sent to be analyzed.

Charges against the two men are pending.

Staff Sgt. Simons explained the warrant came about as a result of information learned by members of the Carlyle Traffic Services.

“It’s a lot of hard work and groundwork to get these warrants,” Staff Sgt. Simons added.
