A pair of traffic stops on the weekend by the Weyburn Police Service had the drivers finding themselves in hot water.

The first was Sunday. During a routine stop, the officer suspected the driver was under the influence of marijuana. The driver passed a standard field sobriety test. However, police say he still had an undisclosed amount of marijuana on him, and he was charged with possession.

The other stop was Monday. Police say the driver was over the legal alcohol limit for driving. This resulted in a three-day license suspension, and the vehicle being impounded. A passenger in the vehicle also found himself in trouble, as he had an outstanding warrant from Regina.
