The Family Place is well-known in Weyburn for being THE place to take your young children, engage in free programming, and meet other parents along the way. They recently moved to a new location and are now looking to switch up some of their programming.

“We’re revamping our calendar for April for our free programming,” said Program Coordinator at the Family Place Jaclyn Honeysett. “The new programs are going to start on April 8th, which is a Monday, and we’re going to have Eclipse Day.”

She noted that the program will run from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. and there will be a craft and planet hunt. The fun does not end there, however.

“Every day of the week it’s going to be something different,” she said. “We have story time and crafts, we have a sensory hour, make a float, dance party, tea party, scavenger hunt, circus party; It’s just going to be a blast.”

So added that these programs, aimed at ages 5 and under, are all free and registration is not required for the revamped programs.

“If you’re out and about and you need something to do, hop on into the Family Place,” she laughed. “Watch for our April calendar on our Facebook page and see what’s going on.”
