The Southeast Twins Midget AAA baseball club is offering to help a Weyburn boy in need of a service dog.

The Head Coach of the Twins read about Nathan Roemer, who was born with a genetic condition that causes behavioural problems. The Discover Weyburn story outlines the efforts of Nathan's sister, Michelle, who wants to raise $30,000 for a trained service dog.

The head coach of the Twins, Blaine Kovach, sees an opportunity to help out. His team has scheduled its one-and-only Weyburn game for Wednesday, May 10th. "I'm looking to get donations" Kovach told Discover Weyburn. "We'll be going around, passing the hat, passing the pail, whatever we can do, and just take any amount of donation that the fans are willing to give for this great cause."

Kovach also plans to invite Michelle and Nathan Roemer to attend Wednesday's matchup against the Regina White Sox.
