Husband and wife team Katherine "Kat" Erickson and Jorge "Fuel" Palomares show off their split tongues.

A new business offering some completely unique services to Weyburn has opened in the city.

Husband and wife team Katherine "Kat" Erickson and  Jorge "Fuel" Palomares opened Fuel and Kat's Shop out of their home at 411 Fourth Avenue on South Hill three months ago.

Palomares explains what the shop has to offer, "we pierce any part of your body. We do tongue splits, we do scarification, that is something that I know that nobody around here does it but us."

Besides the tongue splitting, piercings, and scarification, the pair also offers dreadlock styling, and henna tattoos.

Erickson is from Weyburn, while Palomares is originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, where he has owned a tattoo shop for 14 years. Palomares has been a tattoo artist for 19 years and has earned international trophies for his work. Erickson has been practising the art of tattoos for over three years.

One of Palomares' specialities is portrait work.
