The Board of Police Commissioners are the governing body of Weyburn Police Service and meet once a month at City Hall.

On Tuesday, Barclay Charlton, Weyburn Resident, was sworn onto the Police Commission as a member of the Public.

"Weyburn is my hometown and I'm at the point now where my kids are a little bit older. I just felt that it was time to maybe give back to the community that's been good to me so trying to do something good for it," said Charlton and added that he will be doing a lot of listening and learning for a little while.

It was towards the end of 2017 that city council voted to add two civilian spaces to the Police Commission Board.
