On September 14th, the Weyburn Police Service received a complaint of a threatening. The victim advised police they were threatened after an altercation arose over unnecessary noise. The investigation into the threats is ongoing.

On September 14th, the Weyburn Police Service received a complaint of a theft from a motor vehicle. The vehicle was parked on the driveway when the owner observed some individuals near the vehicle. The individuals were scared off, but when the owner later checked their vehicle they found that numerous items including a wallet and cash had been stolen. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

On September 14th, the Weyburn Police Service received a complaint of two children who were not being properly cared for. The Weyburn Police Service as well as Social Services attended and two children were apprehended. The investigation with the assistance of the Regina Children’s Justice Center is continuing.

On September 15th, the Weyburn Police Service received a complaint of a mischief after the victim attended to the office to report someone had spray painted and damaged their fence.

On September 15th, the Weyburn Police Service received a complaint of a dog running at large who had attacked another dog which was being walked by the owner. The dog was not injured and the investigation into identifying the owner of the other dog is ongoing.

On September 16th, members of the Weyburn Police Service while on patrol observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner. The vehicle was stopped and the driver showed signs of impairment. As a result of the investigation the driver, a 44 year old male, was charged with Impaired Drive and exceed .08. The accused was released and will be attending court next month.

On September 16th, the Weyburn Police Service received a complaint of a mischief after the owner of the vehicle reported the windshield of their vehicle had been smashed.

On September 17th, the Weyburn Police Service received a complaint of a theft from a downtown business. Members of the Weyburn Police Service attended and a 31 year old male was arrested. The investigation determined the accused had been involved in previous thefts from the same location. As a result the accused was charged with two counts of theft under $5000. He was released from custody and will appear in court next month.

On September 18th, the Weyburn Police Service received a mischief complaint, after getting a call of four individuals attempting to open the doors of parked cars. Police attended to the area and located the four individuals. Police charged two individuals, a 17 year old and a 19 year old male with tampering with a vehicle without the owner’s consent. The investigation into this mischief and other possibly related incidents continues.

On September 19th, members of the Weyburn Police Service attended to a domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend. Police arrested a 34 year old female for breach of the peace and lodged her in cells. She was released from custody in the morning.

On September 19th, the Weyburn Police Service received a report of a theft from a vehicle. The vehicle had been parked in the South end of the City and had been entered overnight and a wallet and cash stolen. The incident remains under investigation.

On September 19th, members of the Weyburn Police Service attended to a three vehicle motor vehicle accident at 1st Avenue NW and Government Road. The accident occurred after one vehicle rear ended another vehicle which had stopped in traffic. The accident then pushed one vehicle forward into another vehicle. The one driver, a 16 year old male was charged under the Traffic Safety Act with following to close.

On September 19th, members of the Weyburn Police Service while on patrol observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner. The vehicle was stopped and it was found the driver was disqualified from driving. The vehicle was seized and the 25 year old male driver was charged with drive while disqualified and stunting with a court date in November.

On September 20th, the Weyburn Police Service received a complaint of a mischief after the victim’s parked vehicle had the tail light broken and scratches to the paint. The investigation into this incident continues.

On September 20th, the Weyburn Police Service received a complaint of a hit and run to a vehicle which had been parked at a local hotel. The investigation identified a suspect vehicle, which was later located and the driver found. The driver, a 21 year old female, was subsequently charged with failing to report an accident forthwith to police.

On September 20th, members of the Weyburn Police Service stopped a vehicle and found the driver to be exhibiting signs of being under the influence of alcohol. The driver a 21 year old male was arrested and subsequently charged with operating a motor vehicle while over .08. The accused was later released and will attend court next month.
