The Midget AA Streamline Wings have the Notre Dame Argos against the ropes after a 4-1 win in Wilcox Wednesday night. The Wings lead the best-of-five quarterfinal series 2-0, with game three set for Weyburn Saturday afternoon.

Todd Johnson opened the scoring for the Wings just past the halfway mark of the opening period. Luke Niemegeers and Axel Lund were credited with the assists on the goal. The Wings would jump out to a 2-0 lead late in the middle period, when Nivay Haupstein scored, assisted by Johnson and Mitchell McDonald.

The Argos would reply on the power play just over seven and a half minutes into the third period. Qaritaq Kusugak-Clark scored, pulling Notre Dame within one. The Wings would jump back out to a two goal lead just four minutes later, when Preston Kotylak would score his first of the post-season, unassisted. The insurance marker came from McDonald as he picked up his second point of the night.

Josh Dubiel stopped 14 of the 15 shots he faced to earn the win in goal for the Wings. Weyburn will look to close out the best of five series Saturday afternoon at Crescent Point Place.
