In a dispute between a 22-year-old man and a 37-year old man in Weyburn, one threw a bike at the other's vehicle.

It was the 37-year-old man and he was subsequently charged with mischief. According to the police report from the Weyburn Police Service the incident on Thursday stemmed from a debt the younger man owed the other.

Earlier last week members responded to a call about a break and enter on 16th street. A number of small tools and equipment was stolen.

 

Police Report for May 8 to 15:

May 8

The Weyburn PS responded to a report of a commercial B & E in the 10 Block of 16th Street NE where a number of smaller tools and equipment was taken.

At about noon the Weyburn PS received a report from a 37 year old male that he had been assaulted by a 32-year-old male. The matter is still under investigation and charges are pending. Alcohol was a contributing factor.

At about 8:25 pm the Weyburn PS responded to a suspected domestic dispute between two 41-year-olds. The matter was mediated without further need for police involvement.

 

May 9

The Weyburn PS received a number of complaints regarding a vehicle being driven erratically. As a result of the investigation a 17-year-old male was located and has been charged with Driving Without Consideration for Others using the road.

At about 1pm the Weyburn PS received a report of a possible domestic disturbance in the 800 Block of 5th Street NE. Upon attending they found a 28-year-old male and a 23-year-old female having a heated disagreement. The matter was mediated at the scene.

At about 4:15 pm Members of the Weyburn PS received a complaint regarding a 55-year-old male apparently passed out. The male was located and arrested for being Intoxicated in Public as well as for a criminal charge of Breaching a previous Court Order. He will be making a subsequent Court appearance.

At about 7:25 pm a number of emergency services responded to a 2-vehicle collision at King Street and 1st Avenue N. Although the incident looked severe there were no injuries.

 

May 10

The Weyburn PS received a report of Mischief done to a building on the Weyburn Fair Grounds. Someone had spray painted various lettering and symbols on the building.

 

May 11

The Weyburn PS was advised that there was what appeared to be a telephone scam involving Reader's Digest going around. As always, we urge our residents to be absolutely certain you are conducting legitimate business before releasing any personal or financial information.

The Weyburn PS responded to a report of Mischief to a garage in the 10 Block of 2nd Avenue SE where the windows appear to have been shot out with a pellet gun.

The Weyburn PS received a report regarding the actions of a 37-year-old male in collecting a debt against a 22-year-old male. It appears that the accused threw a bicycle at the victim's vehicle causing damage to the vehicle. The 37-year-old has been charged with Mischief.

 

May 12

At about 3am the Weyburn PS became aware of a 16-year-old male who was breaching a court-imposed curfew condition. The 16-year-old male has been charged and will be making a Court appearance in the future.


The Weyburn PS was advised by one of the Financial Institutions that a counterfeit $100 bill had been received by them. The photo image was blurry and discolored and the bill was peeling. The matter is still under investigation.

 

May 14

The Weyburn PS received a report that a number of vehicles in the 400 Block of Government Road may have had their tires slashed over the night.
