The Salvation Army in Weyburn is asking the community to consider placing some extra food items into the donation bins.

“Our food bank is running a little bit short,” said Community Ministries Co-Ordinator Jennifer Lorinczy.

She also listed the particular items the Food Bank needs.

“Canned meat, canned fruit, canned pastas like raviolis,” she listed. “As always, school lunch snacks (that’s another big one), sidekicks, peanut butter, jam, juice.”

To make it easier to give, donation bins are available at each of the grocery stores.

“So when you shop,” Lorinczy said, “at the end of the checkouts there will be bins there.”
