Lifecentre Church is moving into the Foundation of Life Church building Sept 3rd.

"We have joined another church here in their building, and we have been setting up in a school gym for the last ten years," said Arthur Cook, Lead Pastor of Life Centre Church who has been pastoring Life Centre since October 2016.

Life Centre Church used to be known as One Stop Life Centre Church, which was called Weyburn Pentecostal Assembly before that. Weyburn Pentecostal Assembly started in 1974 with Gerald Cressman as the Pastor. Before meeting in the Gymnasium at Assiniboia Park Elementary School, Life Centre used to have their own building, which they sold in 2006 on McLelland Street, which is now a dance studio.

"We just felt over the past year that our church needs a church home rather than not having a place to work through the week and to be available for the people of the community, so we just feel our own building will give us a home and the community can find us easily," explained Pastor Cook, why Life Centre is making the move to 610 Souris Avenue.

"Since I've been here, Pastor Larry (Seeman, Pastor of Foundation of Life) and I have built a relationship and so they are going to have a service after us at their regular time of 11 o'clock and hopefully we can be out of the building in time, it's really awesome to see the churches joining together without worrying about a lot of the different things that we normally deal with."

Life Centre is going to use the Foundation of Life building during the week as well as for Sunday morning services.

"It's just a really exciting time to be having our own building to use day after day,"

"Our new service time will be at 9:30 am on Sunday mornings and different services going on through the week for the youth."

The building gives Life Centre the opportunity to run new programming during the week.

"We'll be starting the Alpha program in mid September which is a video program that speaks to the basics of the Christian Lifestyle and we're also be starting a youth program in the church and we have a young woman's program where one of our instructors teach on the aspects of being a young woman in today's society," said Pastor Cook.

Pastor Cook would like to welcome everybody in Weyburn particularly those who have been a part of Life Centre in the past and is looking for a home church.
