The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation announced the next round of rotating job action Tuesday morning, and the withdrawal of lunch hour supervision will be returning to southeast Saskatchewan by the end of the week.

In the press release, the STF announced the Holy Family Teachers’ Association was one of five that would be withdrawing lunch hour supervision on Friday. The HFTA covers all of the schools in the Holy Family Roman Catholic Separate School Division. This includes St. Michael School in Weyburn, St. Olivier School in Radville and St. Augustine School in Wilcox.

The school division has advised that noon hour supervision will be arranged, and will be in place to ensure student safety. However, this may involve some students having to go home for lunch. If alternate supervision arrangements are required, the school will contact parents directly.

The STF has been taking job action since January after negotiations with the provincial government reached an impasse in October.
