The grand prize package for the hashtag contest, "Be a Tourist in Your Own Home Town" was announced by Weyburn Tourism Thursday.

“This week we announced the grand prize,” said Twila Walkeden of Weyburn Tourism.

The contest is aimed at getting locals to share photos of places or events in Weyburn on social media applications, using the hashtags "#thisisweyburn" or "#weyburntourism".

It was announced that the person who shares the most photos with those hashtags will receive two tickets to the Jann Arden concert on November 6th and supper for two at Boston Pizza.

“What a great opportunity for someone to have an evening out in Weyburn, there again, enjoying what Weyburn has to offer in terms of events,” said Twila Walkeden. “So we just ask everybody to keep on hashtagging and keep on looking for those hot spots in Weyburn that we want to share.”

Walkeden said more than 200 hashtags have been used so far for the competition, which began in June and runs til the end of August.
