Former Moose Jaw Warriors and Swift Current Bronco coach Graham James, has been pardoned by the National Parole Board.

James was convicted of sexually abusing players during his coaching days.

A lot of questions surrounding the pardon are coming to light today after the pardon was done secretly in 2007.

James was sentenced to three and a half years in prison back in 1997 and disappeared shortly after being released. The Prime Ministers office says they will be investigating the pardon this week after learning the news on Easter Sunday.

The news only came to light after another former player contacted Winnipeg Police about their current investigation, sparked by Theoren Fleury. Many around the hockey world are upset because if a team did a background check to see if James has a criminal past, nothing would turn up and he could be coaching again.
