Children in Pangman will continue to have access to Grades 9 to 12.

Students and parents of Pangman School were relieved to hear the news that their school would continue to accommodate students in Grades 9 to 12.

The board of directors at South East Cornerstone Public School Division defeated the motion to discontinue Grades 9 to 12 at their regular meeting on April 19.

"Each individual board member gave specific rationale to their decision," says Director of Education for SECPSD Dr. Marc Casavant. "Certainly their was things that they shared that rationalized in their own view why they did not want to pursue it. Likewise we had four board members that wanted to see grade discontinuation happen and they had rationale for why they wanted to do that as well."

Grades 9 to 12 at Pangman School was put under review due to low enrollment numbers.
