It was a busy night in the Big Six Hockey League Friday, with four games on the schedule. With just two weeks remaining in the season, the games all carry more and more importance in the standings as teams look to solidify playoff positioning.

Matthew Audette scored a hat trick for Carnduff, with the other goals coming from Mark Moriarty, Nico Anderson, Justin Hollinger, Trevor Geiger, Ty Stovin, and Justin Smith. The Cougars had goals from Tyler Friesen, Jon Gaudet, Billy Greenwood and Derek Flack.

In Midale, the Mustangs notched their second win of the season as they shut out the Wawota Flyers 3-0. The goals for the Mustangs came from Matt Anderson, Kendall Oliver and Brady Bjorndal. Talen King was credited with the shutout in goal.

The Redvers Rockets would double up the Oxbow Huskies on the road, skating to a 4-2 victory. The goals for the Rockets, who remain undefeated in regulation so far this season, came from the sticks of Preston Kopeck (twice), Drew Hoff, and Austin Dufresne. Oxbow replied with tallies from Joran Cooney and Liam Rutten.

The Bienfait Coalers paid a visit to the Moosomin Rangers in the fourth game of the night. The Rangers would come out with a 5-2 win in a game that saw the two teams combine for 70 minutes in penalties.

There are two regular-season games on deck for the rest of the weekend, and two games in provincial playdowns. The Yellow Grass Wheat Kings travel to Oxbow Saturday night, while Carnduff hosts Wawota Sunday. In provincial action, Moosomin entertains Wynyard while Davidson is in Redvers.
