The Weyburn Fire Service will be hosting a training event from March 14th to 15th. They have invited members from the fire departments in Stoughton, Midale, Fillmore, Milestone, Radville, Francis, Kroneau, 737, and Pangman. All firefighters of all levels of experience have been invited, however, the Weyburn Fire Department says it would be great for novice members.

They will be holding various different courses and topics including interior fire attacks, car fires, small scale auto extrication, search and rescue and ladder operations.

"We try to do this every year," said Fire Chief with the Weyburn Fire Department, Simon Almond. "We want to utilize our training center as best as possible. We just want to be good neighbors."

Almond says they try to do training like this once a year, though it doesn't always happen.

The goal of these pieces of training is to help bring the different communities together and strengthen bonds between them.

If the learning experience wasn't enough to entice other fire departments to make their way to Weyburn, the Weyburn Fire Department will also be offering food to those attending.
