Some changes coming to the coaching ranks of the SJHL.

The Kindersley Klippers announced Wednesday morning they had agreed to part ways with head coach and general manager Ken Plaquin. Tyler Traptow, an assistant under Plaquin, will be taking over as the head coach and general manager on an interim basis for the rest of the season.

Plaquin had taken over as the head coach of the Klippers in the 2020-21 season, which was cut off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In his first full season behind the bench with the club, 2021-22, he guided the team to a record of 24-32-1-1 and was just outside of the playoffs in 9th place.

So far this season, the Klippers have put up a record of 11-29-2-5, and are in 12th place overall in the SJHL.

The Klippers are scheduled to play the Yorkton Terriers at home Wednesday night.
