There are currently more than 250 teenagers from Western Canada in Weyburn with their youth leaders for the SERVE mission trip of a lifetime!

The purpose of this SERVE event is to teach the youth leadership skills while showing them how great it is to help out others.

Twenty different churches sent their youth to Weyburn's Calvary Baptist Church for the week to take part in a city-wide service mission trip known as SERVE.

The youth will be all around Weyburn helping seniors, teaching children, putting on events, and much more!

There is a kids day camp called Maker Fun Factory running all week at the church for kids aged 4 to grade 5.

They also have a Sports Camp running most of the week at Jubilee Park. And on Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 10 a.m. till noon there will be a free barbecue taking place near the Jubilee Park parking lot that only requests a donation if you can make one.

Then on Thursday the SERVE team will be holding a barbecue on the Weyburn Co-op community deck from 10:30 till 2:30 p.m.

Throughout the week the youth and their leaders will be painting, cleaning, building, fixing, teaching & helping the community of Weyburn. They will also be holding a community wide food drive on Thursday for the Salvation Army. (More details HERE)

They will be helping out at the Wheatland Senior Centre, the Weyburn Youth Centre, Crocus Villa, the Wor-Kin Shop, the Humane Society, Tatagwa View, Weyburn Cooperative Playschool, the Salvation Army Thrift Store & Food Bank, Barber Motors, the Weyburn Public Library, Hilltop Manor, Heritage Village, Parkway Lodge, Weyburn Special Care Home, Weyburn Group Homes & a few locations just outside of Weyburn as well!

Then at the end of every day the SERVE team will be having their meals at St. Michael School and sleeping on the floor there as well.
